What do we Do?

Our Products

Sauber Treats are all about sweet goodness, minus the sugar. Low in calories and sugar, gluten free and dairy free, we have created alternatives to suit every personal palate, occasion and desire. Because not everyone has a super sweet tooth, our options range from the just sweet to the super sweet. We’ve even created our own sweetness meter so you will know and can decide on just how sweet each treat is.

Ranging from cakes to muffins, tarts, chocolaty delicacies and bliss balls, we have created something for everyone that can really hit the spot and even assist your gut health and digestion.

Shelf Life

As we use primarily non-perishable ingredients and no added preservatives, we recommend for freshness and taste that Sauber Treats are consumed with 5 days of receiving your good, if they even last that long! Most of our products may last a few extra days in the fridge or freezer however despite positive customer feedback, we won’t guarantee this.

Sauber and You

Sauber aims to provide healthy alternatives that cater to all dietary needs and requirements. With health conditions such as diabetes, allergies and intolerances, or simply down to personal preferences such as vegan, paleo and keto, we understand that one size doesn’t fit all. To make things easier we have made all our treats gluten and dairy free with some treats being vegan, keto and even nut free.  With no additives and preservatives, our treats are made up of nothing but real ingredients. So whatever your dietary requirement, Sauber has a treat for you!

Make sure to read the nutritional info before consumption to ensure the treats are right for you!

Sweetness Minus The Sugar

Artificial sweeteners are either produced naturally or synthetically to provide a low or even zero calorie sugar substitute. Although lower in energy, therefore calories, some synthetically sweeteners contain harmful chemicals. These chemicals are inflammatory and have been linked to insulin resistance, diabetes and even some cancers. Aspartame is the worst of the worst so when it comes to sweeteners we try to avoid any that are made in a lab.

In our products we use a range of sweeteners, the main ones being Xylitol, Stevia and Erythritol . We also use small amounts of rice malt syrup (a natural sweetener).  While technically Xylitol, Stevia and Erythritol are classified as artificial sweeteners, they are natural sugar alcohols, a byproduct found in many fruits and vegetables.  Don’t be alarmed, they contain no actual alcohol but sure are sweet!

Just like most sugars, Xylitol and Stevia have a daily consumption limit of a total of 5 grams per day. However, Erythritol is considered safe for consumption and has no daily limit. This being said, we still advise keeping all sugars, artificial or not, to a minimum.

Xylitol and Erythritol, in particular, have certain health benefits. These include:

  • Stabilises blood sugar levels (Erythritol doesn’t raise blood sugar at all!)

  • Aids in prevention and treatment of diabetes type 2

  • Promotes oral health (increases amount of saliva resulting in an alkaline environment as well as protection against tooth decay)

  • Acts as a strong antioxidant (Erythritol)

  • Easily absorbed in the body, reducing digestive distress (Erythritol)
